ALPENBLICK JUNCTION

In Switzerland, water from roads above a certain traffic volume must be collected and treated before it is discharged.

In existing buildings, this is sometimes not easy due to the space available. Retrofitting with filter systems is the ideal solution if there is no space available above ground.

This was also implemented at the Alpenblick junction in Cham and the existing road surfaces were only opened at individual points and the manholes connected to the corresponding drainage pipes. The main focus here was on ensuring that not only the solids but also the dissolved metals and, above all, the light substances are retained and do not end up in the lake.

The type 1,000 hydrosystems were then combined in multiple plants for the different area sizes, thus ensuring a high-quality cleaning performance even in the limited space without affecting the flow of traffic during construction or maintenance.
