Infiltration shaft retrofit to comply with the discharge values
into the infiltration system and the receiving water course

As a result of the European Water Framework Directive and its national implementation, the existing soakaways for road runoff will gradually become the focus of the approval authorities and water management agencies.

If construction measures are planned on these roads, the soakaway shafts must be retrofitted in accordance with the legislative requirements in order to discharge rainwater into the infiltration system in the required quality. The main focus here is on the key parameters of PFCs, copper, zinc and filterable substances.

In order to achieve these target values, rainwater treatment systems are used and installed accordingly.
To keep the costs as low as possible and still maintain maximum planning flexibility, we have adapted our Hydrosystem to these conditions. The Hydrosystem 1,000 heavy traffic has a type approval from the DIBt and is suitable for cleaning the incoming rainwater that runs off all types of traffic areas and meeting the target values for discharge into the infiltration system and receiving water. Thanks to the modular design, we have succeeded in designing the hydrosystems in such a way that they can be retrofitted in any soakaway shaft with a diameter of 1,000-3,000 mm and, if the soil is sufficiently permeable, it is even possible to dispense with the additional installation of a further soakaway.

The first projects have already been implemented in this area. The simplicity of implementation and the cost savings in the area of civil engineering, as already installed shafts can be upgraded, were decisive factors in the decision for the 3P Hydrosystem.
