REFERENCE HYDROSHARK DEGGINGEN

The municipality of Deggingen in the district of Göppingen is expanding its existing sports facilities with the construction of a sports hall.

The planning area is located outside the general sewer network and is therefore drained using a separate system.

Together with the existing sports and sanitary buildings, the planned car parking spaces and an extension of the existing commercial area adjacent to the sports grounds, an area of approx. 4000 m² must be drained.

In accordance with the planning specifications of the approval authority, the precipitation water is to be fed into a sedimentation plant and then into an adjacent river. The advantages of the Hydroshark’s small installation size also came into their own for this measure.

As many pipelines were already in place, the excavation pit for the sedimentation plant had to be kept as small as possible. The high cleaning performance in a very small space convinced everyone involved in the project right from the start.

As the treated rainwater is discharged into an existing relief sewer upstream of the receiving water, there was unfortunately not much of a gradient here.

At the customer’s request, the DN 1,500 Hydroshark was therefore retrofitted with a DN 400 pipe connection,
to avoid the risk of a backflow. Thanks to the flexible connection flanges of the sedimentation system, this was also no problem.

Thanks to the delivery of the ready-to-connect system, the work and backfilling of the excavation pits could also be completed within a very short time for this construction project.
