Logistics center relies on rainwater infiltration
with pre-treatment

According to the planning specifications of the approval authority, the rainwater from the parking and parking lot areas of a logistics company in the district of Biberach is to be completely infiltrated on its property. The quality of the 3P Hydroshark sedimentation system was chosen to drain the sediment-laden traffic areas of the haulage company.

The rainwater from the 30 or so truck parking spaces is collected via street drains and directed to the sedimentation systems.

Due to the relatively large drainage area of the bitumen base layer of around 6,750 m², two of the Hydroshark DN 1500 models were used here.

The concrete shafts produced by the concrete plant were fitted with the Hydroshark sedimentation unit in advance at the concrete plant and could therefore be delivered to the construction site ready for connection. This tried-and-tested plug & play system allows for quick installation and easy integration into the planned drainage concept.

The rainwater cleaned by the sedimentation systems is then fed into a 640 m² infiltration basin.

In this way, the clean rainwater is returned to the natural cycle and ensures that the groundwater level is maintained. This sustainable and ecological overall concept is a further step towards safeguarding our livelihood and currently highly endangered water resource.

Low maintenance once a year

Maintenance of the treatment systems is also very simple. The sludge chamber should only be vacuumed out and cleaned once a year.
