FUNCTIONAL PRINCIPLE

The stormwater enters the system via a baffle.

From there, it flows through two channels into the hydrodynamic separator.

A radial flow regime is generated in the separator.
Solids are separated downwards.

The solids are collected in a sludge trap under the system, which must be vacuumed out at site-specific intervals.

The water flows upstream through a filter element.

The filter cartridge can be easily replaced.

The treated water is discharged into the stormwater drain or an infiltration system.

BUDAVINCI

THE GULLY REINVENTED

The Budavinci road gully combines a hydrodynamic separator with a filter unit in a road gully and is easy to control and clean. The system does not require any additional space as it is positioned directly in the road.

The filter material is contained in a cartridge that is replaced at intervals of between 3 and 5 years.

The filter stage removes pollutants such as heavy metals, mineral oil hydrocarbons and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons from the rainwater. It also binds nutrients such as phosphates. The combination of solids separator and filter acts on both particles and dissolved water constituents. The treatment system can be used for traffic areas such as parking lots and roads with all traffic loads.

Three different filter cartridges are available for this purpose. Even heavily contaminated rainwater runoff can be cleaned to such an extent that it can be discharged into surface water or groundwater. The modular design allows it to be used in almost all catchment areas.
